Project Overview
Graffix Art was commissioned by the BBC production team behind Phoenix Rise to create a custom portrait mural for Season 4, filmed on location in Coventry. The brief was to produce a realistic spray-paint portrait of the character Billy Hopkins (played by Alex Draper), accompanied by bold graffiti lettering and a clean, modern background.
The entire design was created digitally beforehand and approved by the production staff, before being hand-painted on set using professional spray paint. The mural was featured during filming, making this a standout TV production project and an example of Graffix Art’s expertise in large-scale portrait murals, on-set artwork and bespoke designs for television and media environments.
